New Laithe Farm is built out of reclaimed stone as the customer preferred a traditional finish. Reclaimed blue slate covers the roof to enhance the stonework.
One of the main features of the house is the beautiful stone staircase which was carefully restored and installed in the main hallway.
A red-brick dwelling used to occupy the plot of land where Ling Royd now stands. This was demolished to allow for a more modern and spacious bungalow.
Ling Royd is built out of reclaimed materials and has various features enabling it to enhance it's neighbouring 100 year old farmhouse.
This property was purpose built as a Holiday Cottage and James Wade Homes arranged all aspects of the project from the planning to the decorating. The plot required extensive excavation and an 8 foot reinforced concrete retaining wall.
